A Wedding with a Wine Ceremony at Arizona's Shenandoah Mill

Coty and Thania were work colleagues who became something more—though it took some time for Thania to come around to the idea.

“For the first few years we worked together we barely spoke,” she says. “After we worked an event together, he showed an interest in me, but I didn’t want to pursue it. But Coty was really patient and persistent. Once during a phone call he said, ‘I know we’re going to end up married, you just wait and see.’ I laughed it off at the time, but here we are.”

Their big day took place at Shenandoah Mill, a converted historic mill located in Gilbert, Arizona. Thania’s childhood friend Marisa Garcia of Simply Sweet Photography photographed the event.

The celebration was packed with meaningful moments, from the cowboy boots gifted to the bride by her new father-in-law to when Thania’s grandfather walked her mom down the aisle.

“My mom never had a big wedding, so I had my grandfather walk her down the aisle before I came in for the ceremony,” says Thania.

And of course, there was the wine ceremony.

“The wine ceremony was really special to us since we both love wine,” says Thania. “We mixed a red wine with a white wine to create a rosé to symbolize us coming together. The wine we created was the wine we shared during dinner.”
